Music Mind Games is a curriculum of more than 300 cooperative games for teaching music theory and reading, created and developed by Michiko Yurko. Used in music studios and classrooms around the world, Music Mind Games makes music theory easy to understand and most of all, makes it really fun. Students learn sophisticated concepts involving rhythm, dictation, note reading, and sight-singing in the form of imaginative games. Thanks to a nurturing teaching philosophy, sequential pedagogical concepts, clever materials and mind-stimulating games, students grow to love and be excited about music theory.

Music Mind Games (MMG) is a music theory education method that was first developed by Michiko Yurko, a Suzuki piano teacher, in the 1970s.  Many of the philosophies of MMG are based off of those of the Suzuki Method, including that every child has the ability to learn, and that concepts should be taught sequentially.  Music Mind Games teaches music theory and note-reading using four main components:
1) An innovative teaching sequence
2) A nurturing philosophy
3) Friendly, colorful materials
4) A large variety of creative games
Through interactive activities and games, students learn music theory skills that build upon themselves from a foundational level to an advanced understanding.  Students not only learn how to read music, but develop a well-rounded knowledge of music theory.
